General Comments:

The soup and the appetizers were good. The Tassie’s Buffalo Strips appetizer was especially good. The crab cakes were up to its usual tasty par. I guess that's where the love fest ended. Much to my surprise both of my kids did not enjoy their meals.

My daughter, the French fry connoisseur, did not enjoy the French fries. They were dry and tasteless. Her grilled chicken was over cooked and the layer of cheese atop the chicken was cooked to a crisp. Honestly, we had to take a moment to determine what it was.

My teen aged son, the football player, who we usually feed before we go out to eat to ensure we could afford the food bill, did not finish his food either (No, we did not feed him before we arrived). He had ordered this particular dish in the past and ate everything but the utensils, unfortunately, this time it wasn't prepared properly and did not suit his tastes.

The steak was enjoyable, however, my husband realized he forgot to order it butterflied, so that put a slight damper on his enjoyment, but that is no fault of the restaurant.

Me, I stuck with what knew. I had a salad and the Kookaburra chicken wings. I enjoyed every last bite. Unfortunately, having a couple of pair of hungry eyes sitting across from me I had to share the chicken with the kids so they wouldn't leave totally hungry.

Our waiter, Ben, was pleasant enough and we thought he did a good job. However, we think we have visited the Outback one too many times. It is usually an enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, this time they weren't up to their usual standard. We don't think we'll be dining at Outback for a while to come.

OSI Partners owns both Outback Steakhouse and Bonefish Grill. I'm not sure what internal changes they have made, but I've found that my dining experience in each of the establishments have changed.

Cost: $157.19 excluding tip
